‘Race for Agrace’ comes to Madison June 2

To help ensure all area residents have access to its services, Agrace is hosting its 8th annual Race for Agrace fundraiser in Madison on Sunday, June 2. The family-friendly event includes a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile walk, and strollers are welcome on the course. Individuals and teams can race at 9 a.m. from Agrace’s Madison campus at 5395 E. It started as an idea from palliative care physician Dr. Ann Catlett. Catlett had experienced having to discharge terminally ill patients who had no housing onto the streets. And she had seen a model home where patients without a home could live out their days in peace, receive hospice services and other daily palliative care.

Agrace offers virtual grief support group

Agrace will host “Bridges,” a virtual support group for those who are grieving the death of someone close to them. The group provides emotional and peer support in a professionally led virtual group setting. Advance registration required at 608-327-7110 or griefsupport@agrace.org. The group will meet online via Zoom from 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, May 8.
