Have You Considered Agrace?

As a new graduate nurse, you want to build your clinical skills and confidence, and have a voice in the decision-making process for your patients. And you want to feel supported, respected and valued.

That’s what happens at Agrace.

We’re hiring new graduate nurses who feel called to a career in hospice nursing to participate in our RN New Graduate Program. It’s a two-year track of education and support for nursing graduates who have less than a year of experience. You can start before you are licensed and begin earning right away; we offer start dates once a month.

Come to Agrace to learn a vital specialty in which nurses take the lead in coordinating patient care. See why our nonprofit mission, team-based culture and commitment to diversity have made us a Best Place to Work in Madison for three years running—and Rock County’s favorite hospice!

Join Agrace's RN New Graduate Program to:

  1. Build clinical skills and relationships through:
    • a full year of regular 1:1 goal-setting meetings with your supervisor,
    • monthly two-hour trainings with Agrace’s Clinical Education Team, and
    • role-specific monthly training with your peer group.
  2. Gain more varied experience than most hospital departments offer:
    • Care for patients of all ages and demographics, from pediatric to geriatric.
    • Treat patients with symptoms of cardiac, neuro and pulmonary illnesses, as well as dementia, cancer and rare diseases.
    • See patients with varying acuity.
    • Choose among working at Agrace’s acute-care inpatient units in Madison and Janesville, or in patients’ homes as a case manager, visit or admissions nurse.
  3. Collaborate with experienced hospice physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, spiritual & grief counselors and pharmacists.
  4. Be part of an interdisciplinary team that prioritizes patients’ goals and preferences, and puts RNs in a lead role in coordinating care.
  5. Earn certification as a hospice & palliative RN, paid for by Agrace.
  6. Work in your community, if you choose a care manager, visit nurse or admissions role. Here’s our service area.
