Visiting Agrace (effective March 1, 2023):

Visitors must self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms and sign in at the reception desk before they can visit Agrace’s hospice inpatient units and other areas of our buildings.
Visitors must wear an N95/KN95 or Agrace-provided surgical mask while at Agrace. Visitors must wear a face mask in any place they may encounter patients or staff. The only times visitors may be without a mask are if they are eating or drinking in the café or in an enclosed space, like a patient room or private kitchenette, with no staff present.

Wishes often come true around the holidays and that was the case for one local woman Wednesday.

Elizabeth Roberts got back into the pool at age 102.

She’s a patient at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg.

Through Agrace’s wish program, Roberts was able to get into the pool at Capitol Lakes Retirement Community in Madison.

“Well, it’s a little different than it was when I was 20. But it was nice to get in and just feel swim movement again,” said Roberts.

She started swimming when she was about 8 years old.

She went on to swim at the University of Toronto.
