Marjorie Briskey is resting in bed and chatting with staff in her room at Agrace health care when volunteer Marchelle Mertens pops in the door to ask a weekly question: Would she like to hear some music?
If someone you know is aging, seriously ill, dying or grieving, they can turn to Agrace for support. A local, nonprofit, community-supported health care organization, Agrace is well-known for its hospice care and supportive (palliative) care services. People also rely on Agrace after the death of a loved one, because its community grief support is open to everyone—and Agrace relies on community donations to make this possible.
Across southern Wisconsin, Agrace provides personalized care and support for life’s changing health needs, including care for people who cannot pay. To ensure all area residents have access to its services, the nonprofit is holding Agrace Giving Day: A 24-hour Giving Challenge to Sustain Care, Support, Hope and Healing, on March 29.
