The holiday season can be especially difficult for people grieving the death of someone close to them. Agrace is offering free Holiday Grief Support Groups to help adults connect with others who understand and find support during this time of year.
A local session will be held Thursday, November 12, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Edenbrook Platteville, 1300 N. Water St., Platteville.
Led by Agrace grief support specialists, the group offers a supportive space for participants to share their experiences, find comfort in connecting with others and learn healthy ways to care for themselves while grieving.
Additional Holiday Grief Support Groups will be offered in Dubuque, Iowa, on Nov. 17, Dodgeville, Wisconsin, on Dec. 1 and Spring Green, Wisconsin, on Dec. 14. Participants may attend as many sessions as they need.
These groups are free and open to anyone in the community, regardless of whether the person who died received hospice care from Agrace. Pre-registration is required and closes the day before each session.
In addition to group programs, Agrace also offers individual grief support in person, by phone, or through video chat. These services are available to anyone in the community, regardless of whether the person who died received hospice care.
