For more than 45 years, Agrace has provided exceptional care for people throughout Wisconsin in the final months of life. Today, residents of La Crosse County have a new choice for high-quality, in home hospice care. Agrace has expanded its services so people in La Crosse can enroll with Agrace to receive hospice care that comes to them where they live—in private homes, long-term care facilities or any other place they call home.
To mark the completion of its new La Crosse office, the community is invited to a ribbon cutting ceremony with the La Crosse Chamber of Commerce at Agrace, 700 3rd St N, Suite 202A, on Tuesday, August 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The ribbon cutting will take place at 11:45 a.m. All are welcome.
Guests are encouraged to stop by during the event for light refreshments and to learn how Agrace supports the community through in-home hospice care and grief support services. Volunteer coordinators will be available to talk with anyone interested in becoming an Agrace volunteer to support local hospice patients.
Agrace is currently in need of local volunteers for administrative support and to visit hospice patients and their families. Visiting a patient may include reading aloud, playing a game, helping with a hobby, light housekeeping, running errands, preparing a snack or simply offering a caring presence.
Anyone can refer a patient to Agrace. A doctor’s referral is not required to contact us and ask about care. We admit patients to hospice seven days a week, including holidays. For questions or to request an informational visit, call (608) 276-4660 or visit Agrace.org/Refer.
