Grief specialists at the Agrace Grief Support Center will begin hosting in-person and virtual support groups this July for those living in Southern Wisconsin.
Open to local adults and children, the professionally-led groups are designed to support those grieving the loss of a person. “Bridges” addresses the needs of adults who have lost a loved one and can be attended in-person or online. “Grief on the Move” is an in-person event featuring a calming walk in the UW Arboretum.
Those aged 18-30+ can attend a support group once a month tailored for the loss of a family member, friend, or spouse. One-on-one counseling services are also available in person or online.
Participants can attend meetings at their own pace, but advance registration is necessary. Some fees for Agrace grief support can be waived if a participant’s family member was treated in Agrace hospice care or any other hospice care in the past 12 months.
