Questions? We're here for you.
Handmade shawls and lap blankets donated by the community are very comforting to hospice patients.
Due to concerns over the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), we are not accepting donations of comfort shawls—temporarily. We will monitor the guidance of local health authorities and start accepting donations again as soon as it appears safe to do so. Please check back on this page in the coming weeks.
If you can knit or crochet a simple pattern, you can bring warmth and comfort to Agrace HospiceCare patients receiving end-of-life care.
Agrace welcomes hand-made shawls and lap blankets that have been knit or crocheted and donated by members of the community. Our Comfort Shawl Circle then dedicates each one and distributes them to Agrace HospiceCare patients. These soft, colorful shawls give comfort to our patients year-round.
Comfort shawls can be made by anyone in the community who is willing to knit or crochet with mindful intention of offering comfort. The pattern is simple—but the result is remarkable.
