What is Care for All?

At Agrace, we believe that everyone deserves access to our compassionate, high-quality care, regardless of who they are or whether they can pay. If you share our belief, there is an important way you can help—for generations to come.

Through our Care for All program, Agrace steps in to offer our patients help paying when they do not have enough insurance coverage for their care and have no other way to pay for the services they need. Care for All is funded by community donations, from people like you.

Why is Agrace creating an endowment?

We are working to create a more predictable, sustainable way to fund Care for All each year. The Agrace Care for All Endowment Campaign is committed to raising $15 million over five years. These funds will be invested, to generate annual income that will help pay the cost of providing charitable care for patients who need this assistance.

Who benefits from help from Care for All?

The program helps Agrace patients who can show financial need. The need for financial assistance is often because the patient:

  • doesn’t have health insurance or Medicare, often because of job loss, age, homelessness or disability
  • has insurance that doesn’t cover enough for hospice or palliative care
  • has spent all their savings on lengthy, expensive treatment that didn’t result in a cure for their illness
  • does not have a safe place to live while they are receiving Agrace’s care

When our patients face these issues, we can offer help through Care for All.

Goals of the Endowment Campaign

Each year, Agrace needs about $750,000 for the Care for All program. By raising and investing $15 million in assets, the Care for All Endowment will be able to generate an annual income of $750,000.

A $15 million endowment yields a $750,000 annual benefit.

Agrace has committed $2 million (approximately 1/3 of the agency’s net revenue from 2015 through 2017). The Agrace Foundation, along with help of a committee of community members, is working to raise the remaining $13 million by 2019—with the generous help of donors like you.
