Agrace to require COVID-19 vaccine for all employees

Agrace requires COVID-19 vaccination for employees

Agrace, which provides hospice care and related services in southern Wisconsin, is requiring its 1,600 employees and volunteers to be vaccinated against COVID-19, the organization said Tuesday.

Agrace to require COVID-19 vaccines for employees, volunteers

As reported by Logan Rude, WISC TV-3/Channel3000.com

Agrace, a nonprofit health care provider, announced plans Tuesday to require COVID-19 vaccinations for all of its more than 1,600 employees and volunteers.

Employees will be required to get their first vaccination by Sept. 1 and their second by Oct. 1, if they’ve gotten Moderna of Pfizer. Roughly 90% of Agrace’s employees are already fully vaccinated.

Local Thrift Store Celebrates 15 Years of Supporting Agrace

After 25 years of serving local families as a nonprofit hospice, Agrace had two solid reasons for opening—of all things—a thrift store! Not only would the store generate funds to support Agrace’s nonprofit mission, but it would also create a place for patients’ families to donate the accumulated household items their loved ones were leaving behind.

Agrace Announces New Group Options for Grief Support in September

Local adults and children living in southern Wisconsin who are grieving can find hope and healing with the help of Agrace grief support specialists.

This September, Agrace will host in-person and virtual group support options for adults and children who are grieving the death of a person. These groups provide emotional and peer support in a professionally led group setting and require advance registration.

Annual ‘Race for Agrace’ to Take Place September 19

Every year, more than 2,000 adults and children throughout southern Wisconsin receive grief support from Agrace when they need help coping with the loss of a loved one. This essential community service is available to anyone who has experienced a loss due to death, even if the person who died was not an Agrace hospice care patient.

Communities are experiencing a growing need for grief support, heightened by the COVID-19 pandemic. Because Agrace does not receive any type of reimbursement from insurance for its grief support services, they are funded primarily by community donations. Proceeds from this year’s Race for Agrace fundraiser will benefit the Agrace Grief Support Center in Fitchburg and the community grief support that Agrace provides throughout southern Wisconsin.
