Agrace invites members of the media to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the Ellen & Peter Johnson Dementia Village at Agrace on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event marks the start of a first-of-its-kind dementia care project designed to redefine memory care in Wisconsin and beyond.
What: Groundbreaking ceremony for the Ellen & Peter Johnson Dementia Village at Agrace, a new model of dementia care inspired by the Hogeweyk concept in the Netherlands.
Who: Agrace leaders, donors, community members, partners, board members and elected officials. A brief speaking program will feature community leaders.
When: Wednesday, May 20, 2026, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Where: Agrace, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, Wisconsin. The ceremony will take place in front of the building.
Visuals: Ceremonial groundbreaking, remarks from Agrace and community leaders, and photo/video opportunities with attendees and project representatives.
