The program helps Agrace patients or clients who can show financial need. The need for financial assistance is often because the person:
- doesn’t have health insurance or Medicare, often because of job loss, age, homelessness or disability;
- has insurance that doesn’t cover enough for hospice or palliative care;
- has spent all their savings on lengthy, expensive treatment that didn’t result in a cure for their illness; or
- needs an Agrace service that is typically not covered by insurance, such as the Adult Day Center.
