Questions? We're here for you.
Could you spare a bear for an Agrace patient or family member who needs extra comfort and strength?
When she was living, Agrace Hospice Care patient Doris “Dori” Klubertanz surrounded herself with teddy bears. She believed strongly in their power to bring warmth, love and a smile to people of all ages.
When Doris died in 1994, she left a beautiful legacy. Because she found such comfort in her bears, she left a gift to Agrace to establish the Dori Bear Program. Today, donated teddy bears become “Dori Bears,” and they are given to hospice patients or their family members when our staff notice a need for this extra measure of comfort.
You can help support Agrace’s Dori Bear Program, by yourself, with your family, or as part of a bear collection drive conducted by your service organization, church/faith community, social club or business.
Please bring new bears to one these Agrace locations between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.:
5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison
2901 N. Wright Road, Janesville
316 W. Spring Street, Dodgeville
If you prefer to make a monetary donation to the Dori Bear program, please write a check to Agrace and note “Dori Bear” on the memo line. Mail the check to: Agrace Foundation, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711
