Agrace HospiceCare is turning 40! A public celebration of this milestone is being held August 14 in Madison. Anyone who has used Agrace’s compassionate care for their family, or simply wants to ensure Agrace is available for generations to come, is welcome to join the party.
Agrace’s 40th anniversary event will honor the memories of local philanthropists Don and Marilyn Anderson, whose lead donation made it possible for Agrace to open the area’s first freestanding hospice inpatient unit in Fitchburg in 2000. Don Anderson died on April 12, 2018, while Marilyn died in April 2008—both having received compassionate hospice care in the facility their generosity helped to build.
Agrace’s 40th anniversary event is Tuesday, August 14, at 5:30 p.m. at Noah’s Event Venue, 5020 American Family Drive, Madison. Registrations are accepted online through August 10 at Agrace.org/anniversary. Tickets are $30 per person, with proceeds and donations benefitting Agrace’s Care for All endowment campaign.
Agrace’s Care for All program provides free or discounted care to local patients who need compassionate hospice or palliative care but have no way to pay.
