It’s rare to find an event that continues to capture the hearts of hundreds of people year after year. However, members of the Janesville community have shown their dedication and support for one local organization and its annual event for nearly two decades—Agrace’s Sips & Sounds.
A festive wine- and beer-tasting event that supports quality care for area residents who are aging, seriously ill, dying or grieving, Sips & Sounds will return for its 20th year on Saturday, October 29.
The event runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Celtic House at Glen Erin Golf Club, 1417 W. Airport Road, Janesville. Advance tickets are on sale at Agrace.org/Sips for a discounted price of $60 per person and will be $75 at the door. The ticket price includes hors d’oeuvres provided by local-area eateries, samples of exquisite wines from Wisconsin wineries and distributors, samples of beer from Wisconsin-based distributors and breweries, and live music from The Neeno Fredricks Project.
“Over the past 20 years, more than $700,000 has been raised for Agrace just through Sips & Sounds,” said Lisa Dahlgren, Agrace’s Janesville-based development manager. “These dollars help Agrace bring in-home senior care, supportive care, compassionate hospice care and grief support to people throughout Rock County.”
Premier community supporters of this benefit event include Blain’s Farm & Fleet, Madelyn Co., E & D Water Works, Robinson & Prijic Family Dental, and more.
To register for Sips & Sounds, visit Agrace.org/Sips or call (608) 314-2923. Registration is requested by October 25. Advance ticket price offer ends at noon, Friday, October 28. Guests are welcome to pay at the door on October 29. Attendees must be at least 21 years of age to attend.
