Since 2019, people who love bargain shopping for furniture, home goods and décor have flocked to the Agrace Thrift Home Store on Stoughton Road. Thanks to its popular Pack Up/Pick Up service for incoming donations in Dane County, the store is bursting at the seams with pre-owned treasures fit for any home, no matter the style.
On Saturday, October 1, the Thrift Home Store will reveal an expansion into the retail space next door, which adds 30 percent more floor space for furniture, art, lamps, rugs and home décor. Shoppers on October 1 will get the first chance to see the new space and larger inventory. Store hours will also expand in October to be Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Like Agrace’s three other thrift stores, the Agrace Thrift Home Store is staffed almost exclusively by volunteers. More volunteers are needed to help with staging displays on the expanded sales floor, as well as customer service and cashiering.
Volunteers needed: Prospective volunteers can learn more by calling Agrace at (608) 327-7163 or visiting Agrace.org/Volunteer.
All proceeds from this store help fund Agrace’s grief support groups and other programs for the community, including the Agrace Grief Support Center in Fitchburg.
