Agrace President and CEO Lynne Sexten joins a group of more than 2,000 CEOs nationwide that have come together under CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™, committing herself and Agrace to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Through its commitment with CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™, Agrace is pledging to take action to cultivate a workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected and where employees feel encouraged to discuss diversity and inclusion. The collective of over 2,000 signatories have already shared more than 1,400+ best known actions, exchanging tangible learning opportunities and creating collaborative conversations via the initiative’s unified hub, CEOAction.com.
“Agrace strives to be an organization whose workforce reflects the diversity of the communities we serve and whose staff feel recognized, heard and included,” said Sexten. “To improve diversity and inclusion in the workplace, there needs to be constructive conversation about our differences. I am proud that Agrace is building on our value of Belonging to further create an environment where employees can openly address challenges, present opportunities, and share perspectives.”
Organizations joining the pledge are taking a step towards effecting positive change. A diverse and inclusive workforce facilitates community but also drives innovation and creativity. A study found that 85 percent of those surveyed reported that diversity is a key component to fostering innovation.
Agrace is one of 51 signatories led by women CEOs. By joining together, these leaders aim to lead critical conversations for women in the workplace and create a more diverse and inclusive environment.
“We have the opportunity—and responsibility—to play a meaningful role in addressing and advancing such an important societal issue,” said Sexten.
