Marilyn Sincaban, MD, of Madison, has joined the medical services team of Agrace, a nonprofit, community-supported health care organization that provides hospice care, supportive (palliative) care, non-medical personal care, adult day services and grief support across southern Wisconsin.
As a hospice and palliative physician, Dr. Sincaban is a member in the interdisciplinary team that works together to coordinate end-of-life care for Agrace’s hospice patients and their families. She oversees care plans for patients receiving care in their homes, facilities, hospitals or at Agrace’s hospice inpatient units.
Dr. Sincaban is board-certified in hospice and palliative medicine. She earned her medical degree at Far Eastern University, Manila, Philippines, and completed her internal medicine residency and a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.
Prior to joining Agrace, Dr. Sincaban was a medical director with VITAS Healthcare, a national provider of end-of-life care. There, she helped assess whether prospective patients met Medicare’s hospice eligibility criteria and advised on the level of hospice care needed to meet each patient’s goals.
“Dr. Sincaban has a wealth of knowledge and experience helping patients with advanced symptom management,” said Patricia Neuman, DO, Agrace’s vice president of medical services. “Her compassion, expertise and unique experiences will be valued as a member of the Agrace medical services team.”
