Agrace has appointed Tanika Apaloo and Bernie McCracken to its Foundation’s board of directors. A nonprofit health care organization, Agrace provides hospice care, supportive (palliative) care, non-medical personal care, adult day services and grief support across southern Wisconsin. The Agrace Foundation Board guides its fundraising, helping to meet the organization’s current and future needs.
Tanika Apaloo, of Madison, Wis., is the multicultural outreach & adult education coordinator and community engagement & diversity liaison for the Wisconsin Historical Society. She serves as the Society’s expert on educational outreach to adults, especially in under-served communities, and builds partnerships and collaborations to enhance the Society’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Apaloo is also the owner of Badger Moves, where she provides leadership and business management and drives future operational planning.
Bernie McCracken, of Fitchburg, Wis., has more than 25 years of management, accounting and finance experience. He is vice president chief accounting officer for Lands’ End, Inc. in Dodgeville, where he is responsible for financial reporting, corporate finance and planning, internal auditing, accounting operations, treasury, tax and business compliance.
“The community-building and business experience both Tanika and Bernie bring to the Foundation Board will help us continue supporting the growing need for Agrace’s services in underserved areas,” said Marcia Whittington, chief development officer. “The work of the Agrace Foundation helps ensure that Agrace can care for people in southern Wisconsin who are aging, seriously ill, dying or grieving, regardless of who they are or whether they can pay.”
