John Roy of Verona, Wis., has joined Agrace, Wisconsin’s largest nonprofit community hospice and palliative care agency, as practice administrator.
Roy, a health care administration professional with more than 25 years’ experience, will oversee the day-to-day operations of Agrace’s hospice and palliative care practices, working to ensure they are operating as efficiently as possible.
“John will lead the business and administrative aspects of our hospice and palliative care provider groups,” said president and CEO Lynne Sexten. “This enables our physicians and advanced practice nurse practitioners to be exclusively focused on providing quality, compassionate patient care.”
Before joining Agrace, Roy was a senior administrator at the University of Wisconsin’s School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) in Madison for seven years. During that time, he oversaw all academic practice, research and medical education programs for the Department of Dermatology. He also managed the SMPH Medical School central information technology operations. Roy also served as vice president, practice development for the Forward Health Group in Madison.
Roy earned an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Colorado.
